this is the only cup rubensandthebard.com is letting out with our "hold my nuts" squirrel in advance of our zazzle store opening. this cup is using a print from artist dlee's "my nuts" series where the emphasis is on one squirrel with some really big nuts he wants to share with you, one way or the other. this print works best on lighter colour backgrounds, although we may offer darker coloured backgrounds in our store. What makes this item so special is not just that the artwork comes from the collections of well established artists, but that other than clothing and apparel all of our products are limited editions. if a product summary does not list a limit for sales of that item, then the default limit of rubensandthebard.com applies which is a maximum of 50,000 copies for worldwide release. most products have limits that are vastly lower and thus retain much higher values. we treat our products like limited release prints, in other words, just like what they are, which is actual works of art. this means not only do you the customer not have to worry about seeing everyone in your office or neighbourhood carrying around the same item that you have purchased, but if you take good care of your product, it’s value might actually increases. the exception to our rule would be clothing and apparel items where, unless otherwise marked, there are no limits to quantities we will sell. this allows rubensandthebard.com to make precious works of art available to more people, and encourages a greater understanding of the value of the arts. once an item has reached it’s limits we will remove the item from our store. even in the case of a product such as cups and mugs, if the limit is 5000 sold, even if customers have chosen multiple styles of cups (which zazzle offers, not just one style) , the moment the total sold reaches 5000 in all styles, we pull the item from our store. the first release of any product will not be numbered. any additional releases of the same product will either be numbered or altered in a significant enough fashion as to make the new release distinctive from any other item released prior to it’s availability. in addition each product is prepared manually one at a time and even products within the same series or lines have their own distinctive designs. rubensandthebard.com does not make use of the mass product design feature offered by zazzle because we want you to know that you have purchased an item that is truly unique and valuable. if you wish to learn more about the artists who made these prints and fine works of art they created please visit www.rubensandthebard.com which just cold-opened in late october of 2012. we are adding new artists each month so please come back often and check out these new talented painters, sculptors, photographers, and other great visual artists. and by all means browse our zazzle store now and please enjoy yourselves. thank you.
