In Victorian times, communication between lovers was indirect and subtle. One way to express one's feelings to the object of one's affections was through the Language of Flowers, in which specific meanings were ascribed to different flowers. Thus, the combination of flowers in a bouquet (or nosegay) would act as an expression of one's deepest hopes and desires. This lovely nosegay was created by Claudia Karabaic Sargent to send a message of love to those who receive it. This design is also available on postage stamps, notecards, and greeting cards.
