Aboriginal Desert Art Christmas Greeting Card

About "DESERT DREAMING" an original design by Skye Ryan-Evans (2001) © This earthy image is an Australian Aboriginal-styled map of part of the desert also known in Australia, as the Outback. The various coloured dots represent nature elements like mountains, water-courses, dried creek-beds, food sources like Kangaroo and Goanna etc. Many of the circles represent small desert communities and the smallest ones depict hunting parties. A massive Brown Snake courses through the desert region with a flicking forked tongue. The Snake is related to the Creation in Australian Dreaming mythologies. In this earthy depiction, the head and tongue of the Snake is approaching a small encampment of hunters. They are protected however by a symbolic force-field or spiritual energy field, and therefore remain unharmed, as they are spiritually in harmony with the desert. 25% of royalties earned from this organic Art Print is donated to the great Defenders of Wildlife at: www.defenders.org.
