Absoraka Mountain Range Paradise Valley Montana Canvas Print

The beautiful Absoraka Mountain Range is found in the Rocky Mountains as they wind their way down Paradise Valley in Montana and head towards the town of Gardiner, Montana. This little tourist town is the gateway into the Yellowstone National Park and home of the Roosevelt Archway at the Gardiner Entrance to the Park. I shot this photo in June of 2012 and there is still a good deal of snow. As a matter of fact, on this particular day, the snow was falling at the east entrance of the park and I got caught in a bit of a snowstorm at Sylvan Pass at 8,000 feet. These are pretty mountains with or without snow, but the extra snow makes them a great panoramic view.
