A misty, impressionistic work unfolds across the frame, as if someone had looked at a distant shoreline or city through a rain-streaked window. Within that band, flecks of warmer rust and crimson peek through, like embers or streetlights seen through fog, giving the cool palette a quietly pulsing energy. Above this central strip the colours thin into pale, almost washed-out tones — soft whites, very light greys and the faintest wash of pink — creating a sense of luminous sky or hazy light. The boundary between sky and the darker middle is indistinct; the pigments seem to have been blended and dragged so that edges melt into one another, producing a soft glow that diffuses upward. Below, the paint behaves almost like a reflection. Vertical drips and streaks run down from the darker band into a paler base, suggesting rainwater trailing down glass or reflections trembling on a shallow pool. Those lower areas are cooler and more diffuse, with blues and ice-like whites predominating, and they temper the composition with a quiet, downward movement that balances the horizontal sweep above. The overall effect is evocative rather than literal: the viewer might read a shoreline at dawn, a city on the other side of a rainy pane, or simply an abstract mood of melancholy and calm.
