Add Your Custom Text to DIY Blue Musical Artwork Poster

It's such fun to be able to create our own custom posters and so my store has rather a lot of DIY-style poster template setups. Although you can create your own from scratch, it seems many folks enjoy having a head start that enables them to put their own words over my background images. // Here is one of my newer images that seemed like a fun poster background! I created it by first adding mostly blue acrylic paint to a piece of vintage sheet music in messy, loose bits, making sure to leave lots of marks and keeping it light enough to let the background show through. Then I added white paint over the dried layer, using stencils and other texture tools to add fun texture and visual interest. I shot this photo at an angle that places the bars of music on a diagonal. Great for music teachers, bandmates, and anyone else who loves music! // To make the text pop on the busy background, I've added two dark masks over the artwork to darken the effect. You may remove one or both of these if you prefer. // The font I chose won't be for everyone but you can choose your own if you like! // Some (long!) notes on customisation, should you wish to do more than add your own text: Because adding a shadow to text is not currently a Zazzle option, I've duplicated the text layer twice, made the lower layers dark grey, and shifted them slightly. To make it possible for you to customise if needed, but also keep things from getting inadvertently shifted, I've placed these text layers in a group. If you decide to change the font or text colour or size, follow these steps (on a computer monitor). First, click the link to edit the design. Then in the Layers panel at the left of the page click the "Group" layer and choose the button at top to "Ungroup". Font and size changes will need to be applied to all layers in order to keep things looking nice, so select all 3 layers before making your new selections. (Font and sizes are changed on the right side of the screen.) If you then put the layers back into a group by clicking the appropriate link just above the design preview, you'll be better able to then align the text without accidentally separating the layers and "messing up the shadow effect". The "Align" button is also at the top of the screen. Hope this helps!
