African Lioness Large Tote Bag
This lioness climbed a BIG tree, which is not very common for lions. It wasn't apparent why she did so, except to possibly give herself an advantage of scoping out prey from a higher lookout. She didn't spend much time in the tree. Just long enough to pose for a few photos, and then went down the tree face first, as if she did this all the time. No hesitation and no falling; very graceful. Then she walked back to join the rest of her pride for an afternoon nap in the shade cast by our land rover vehicles. This photo was taken near Nkwali Camp in the South Luangwa Valley of Zambia, July 2018.
