Early start Halesworth, Suffolk Greetings Card P-47 Thunderbolts of the 56th Fighter Squadron Halesworth, Suffolk ready for take off on an escort mission. I wanted to paint a moody, early morning scene suggesting the close relationship between a pilot and his crew chief. The aircraft in the foreground represents Lt.Col. David Schillings P-47D ‘Hewlett-Woodmere’ with Pilot and Crew Chief S/Sgt. Hollznan.
