This original 2018 dog portrait art calendar is filled with some of the amazing dogs that I've painted over the years. These paintings have been created in soft pastel and watercolor medium and they're worked in a realist style. I like to capture the unique character of each animal I paint. The dogs are various breeds and on the back of this unique 2016 calendar there's little picture of each dog. I work from digital photos to paint these pet portraits, I like to work from digital photos because I can use lots of different images of a much loved pet and create a unique portrait, I can zoom right into the photo of the dog and this enables me to get the tiniest of detail.
