Albion printing press in army photograph
Digital reproduction of a photograph taken around 1900. The photograph shows a tent set up as a printing office, with type cases and a an Albion press. It was deemed more efficient for officers in the army to use a printing press to print orders that were formerly hand-written. The name on the press is Harrild & Sons. Although Albion presses were made starting in the early 1820's, Harrild & Sons started making them in the 1850's.
