Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) , famed author of "The Count of Monte Cristo," "The Three Musketeers," "Twenty Years After" and "The Vicomte de Bragelonne: Ten Years Later," was a prolific contemporary of Victor Hugo, Balzac, Flaubert, Eugene Sue, etc. Dumas (who came to be known as Dumas pere to distinguish him from his son), created the memorable character of Edmond Dantes in the Count of Monte Cristo, who toasted Albert Mondego's 16th birthday by comparing life to a storm: “Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.”

Much better than expected, the print is clear and not murky at all as I found with redbubble mug prints. Its a big mug! I like! Very impressed! It's a single colour but the detail of the logo and shield came out rather well.
