Elegant colourful seascape with red yellow sun, sea waves in vibrant black,brown,white colours elaborated from an antique Japanese miniature. Amaterasu is a part of the Japanese myth cycle and also a major deity of the Shinto religion. She is the goddess of the sun, but also of the universe. The name Amaterasu derived from Amateru meaning "shining in heaven." The meaning of her whole name, Amaterasu-ōmikami, is "the great August kami (god) who shines in the heaven".For Amaterasu is also credited with inventing the cultivation of rice and wheat, the use of silkworms and weaving with the loom.

This card is great fun and good quality. I loved the humour inside and on the back. There is the opportunity to change the orientation of this card from landscape to portrait, which I did. It is relatively straightforward to amend the typeface to fit the new orientation. It was well packaged with no plastic. The printing on this card is excellent.
