The flamingo has become an iconic symbol of South Florida. The long slender legs and neck of the bird, make this a picture of beauty, balance, and romance. This single pink flamingo is from Plate 431 of John James Audubon's Birds of America series. This vintage art is a bit more refined than the plastic flamingos found in the snowbirds lawns, but it still reminds me of warm weather and tropical breezes. The Art Deco typeface for the personalised name gives a Miami vibe to this design.
