A row of pillars divides the one point perspective scene with the Angel Gabriel on the left from the kneeling Virgin while she receives his divine message in her bed chamber. About the artist: Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510) was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the Early Renaissance.
