NASA’s Artemis 1 moon rocket sits on launch pad 39B awaiting launch as the sun rises over the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. The SLS Space Launch System will carry the Orion spacecraft into a lunar orbit and back to Earth, as a test flight of the entire deep space system. Future flights will transport humans back to the Moon after a 50 year absence and then on to Mars and other destinations in the Solar System.
