The artwork appearing on the front of this Greeting Card is "The Owl and the Birds" by Arthur Rackham (1967-1939) - it was first published in "The Fables of Aesop" (1912). The interior has been left blank for your individual message. The rear of the Greeting Card displays a modern fable (by Douglas Colston) entitled "The Shuōhuà of the Barn Owl; or, The Barn Owl concerning black roses, mocking precious things and libeling fabulous people". The original text (in Chinese [also by Colston]) is shown with the self-translation appearing in English. This work is published (having been featured at "New World Writing" [https://newworldwriting.net/]).
