One of our favourite #ArtYourAmphibian submissions in 2020! Alex Slavenko, University of Sheffield, Research Associate From the artist: Salamandra infraimmaculata reaches the southern edge of its distribution in the Carmel Mt in Israel, where I am involved in a citizen science project where we got out on rainy winter nights to survey the populations of this endangered species. So I put the salamander in a scarf and hat, placed a clipboard and a pencil in its hands, and it's ready to take part in the survey!
