Asana Arts - Seven Flower Chakra & Tulip Cushion

This beautiful relaxing turquoise cushion is designed for yoga lovers and those who appreciate mother nature. The front on the cushion consists of a circular ring of seven hand painted watercolour flowers. Each flower and it's colours represents one of the seven chakras: White - Jasmine - The Crown (Sahasrara) Chakra: represents peace and is associated with understanding and bliss Indigo - Bluebell - The Third Eye (Ajna) Chakra: represents insight and is associated with intuition and imagination Bright Blue - Forget-me-not - The Throat (Visshudha) Chakra: represents sound and is associated with communication and speech Green - Hellebore - The Heart (Anahata) Chakra: represents air and is associated with love & peace Yellow - Primrose - The Solar Plexus (Manipura) Chakra: represents fire and is associated with will power Orange - Marigold - The Sacrum (Swadhistana) Chakra: represents water and is associated with sexuality & desire Red - Poppy - Perineum (Muladhara) Charkra: represents earth and is associated with grounding & survival The back image is one of Sharon's early watercolours - a beautiful vivid pink tulip head, called Letting Go. In painting this, Sharon let go of her normal restraint and allowed the water and paint to run free and unrestricted. The warmth this creates teases open the tulip petals allowing it to bask in the spring sunshine. By letting go and no longer searching for control and perfection the free flowing colours symbolise acceptance of who you are and inspire freedom to become who you want to be. We like this so much we use it as the Asana Arts logo, but is works equally well as a stand alone piece.
