Ashikaga Yoshiteru Sword Shogun Calligraphy Poster

足利義輝: Ashikaga Yoshiteru, was the thirteenth shogun of the Muromachi Bakufu, otherwise known as the Ashikaga shogunate. Forcefully manipulated by the Miyoshi, his efforts to regain control ended in tragedy. He was also the older brother of Yoshiaki Ashikaga, the fourteenth Shogun of Ashikaga shogunate. 剣豪将軍: Sword Shogun, was the moniker of Yoshiteru for his skill in Japanese swordsmanship. While it was common knowledge that Yoshiteru honed his swordsmanship with regular practice, some believe he had been taught by the famous Tsukahara Bokuden. In the background is a samurai with numbers of Japanese sword on the ground, this is referrence to rumours that when he was assaulted by Matsunaga Hisahide, Yoshiteru bring all his collection of sword beside him and fought the enemy to his dead, switching to one another once it is broken.
