Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome is a syndrome in which there is a thinning or opening of the bone in the inner ear. People who suffer with this condition can suffer from pulsatile tinnitus which is where they can hear a whooshing or heartbeat sound in their ears 24/7. The sufferer may appear to be okay, but managing symptoms is difficult. Usually their loved ones or employers aren't aware of the struggles they face.
