ASL What's UP? American Sign Language is its own language: it has its own syntax and colloquialisms. When a person wants to ask a friend "What's up," meaning "How are things with you" or "How are things going," there is a casual conversational way to do this quite different from English. "What's UP" is made with one movement of both hands. The long fingers of both hands almost touch the chest and then break away from each other, moving in opposite directions and slightly outward from the body. It's like an imaginary seal is broken on stored information and it is free to dissimulate through the air! A digital painting, “What’s UP” was designed on a bright yellow background.
