The red and yellow flowers of this vine, also known as a trumpet creeper vine, are delicately painted with lively green leaves in contrast to the rustic gray-brown patina of the old wood. The male downy woodpecker bird has a bright red-crown. This is bookplate 112 of Birds of America by John James Audubon. A great gift for any bird lover.
