Audubon Great Blue Heron 1834 Plate CCXI Shower Curtain

This is a remastered reproduction version of the Great Blue Heron Plate CCXI, based on the series “Birds of America” by John James Audubon (1785 - 1851). Robert Havell (1793 - 1878) etched the original version. Creating the original vintage prints employed hand-coloured engraving techniques and the aquatint process on Whatman wove paper. The original Birds of America is very expensive because of the limited number of original books published and their popularity. The bookplates are incredible and awe-inspiring classics. This version has been digitally remastered and retouched.
