National flag of Australia The Australian flag is deep blue, red and white. The Union flag is located in the top left corner, with the Commonwealth Star underneath, and the stars of the Southern Cross constellation to the right. The flag was first designed in 1901, although it underwent some changes during the first half of the 20th century, and the current specifications date from 1934. You can personalise the design further if you'd prefer, such as by adding your name or other text, or adjusting the image - just click 'Customise it' to see all the options. IMPORTANT: If you choose a different sized version of the product, it's important to click 'Customise it' and check the image in the Design view to ensure it fills the area to the edge of the product, otherwise white edges may be visible.
