Aztec Sun Mask – Golden Red Ceramic Tree Decoration

This Aztec inspired sun design has eight intricate rays that stretch out from a mask that sits at the centre. This complex pattern is comprised of elaborate golden yellow lines and circles that sit on a reddish brown velvety background. Two-headed serpents sit inside of stylised rectangles on the four corners of the outer circle. The menacing face at the centre has it’s eyes locked forward and tongue stretched out of a tooth filled mouth. This aggressive design is a striking homage to the beauty and mystery of Aztec art.
