It is known at the "Back Bay" to locals but is formally called the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and Ecological Reserve. It has over 1,000 acres of wetlands and is home to over 200 endangered species and 35,000 migratory birds. I have spent many years walking these trails while growing up in the neighbourhood!
