Bargello Embroidery For Cushion

This design was found on a family heirloom and transferred digitally to this throw pillow. It still shows some signs of the wear and tear it has endured. It is a form of embroidery known as Bargello, which is also called Florentine Canvas Embroidery. This form of embroidery came in to vogue in 15th century Italy. It was used on many objects to brighten them up, for example, chair seats, footstools, the tops of boxes, etc. It was primitive by today's standards for embroidery in that it used wool instead of thread and canvas instead of cloth. Take note this is not an embroidered pillow, the pattern is printed on.
