Battle of Qingua Poster

Battle of Qingua Poster

Battle of Qingua in the Philippine-American War. The Battle of Quingua, fought on April 23, 1899, during the Philippine-American War, was a significant engagement between American forces and Filipino insurgents. It took place near the town of Quingua, located in the Bulacan Province of the Philippines. American forces, led by Major Frederick M. Sackett, clashed with Filipino revolutionary forces under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar. The battle was part of the larger conflict between the United States and Filipino forces seeking independence following the Treaty of Paris, which ceded the Philippines from Spain to the United States after the Spanish-American War. During the Battle of Quingua, the American forces faced stiff resistance from Filipino insurgents determined to repel foreign occupation. General del Pilar, known for his strategic prowess, skilfully positioned his troops in a defensive manner. Despite their numerical disadvantage, Filipino forces engaged the Americans in intense fighting, utilising guerrilla tactics to disrupt their advances. The battle ended with an American victory, as they managed to overcome Filipino resistance and advance further into the region. The Battle of Quingua was part of the larger conflict chraacterised by guerrilla warfare, which persisted for several years as Filipino forces continued to resist American occupation.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
