"Be the Millionth Person ..." Mug (Blue)

One of my last weekly comics for the Mount Holyoke News, originally published in May, 1986. To my surprise, it turned out to be the most popular comic I ever did; I had thought it was a pretty basic, obvious joke, never considering that what made it basic and obvious also made it universal and appealing. Many aspects of life have (clearly) changed since 1986. I'm pretty sure no one carries around a "sheaf" of dead-tree resumes anymore. And the very concept of "long-distance call" has vanished. The reference to Bloomingdale's stems from the popularity of their career recruiting trips to campus. It was a good and desirable option for many students, but decidedly not for me. However, one part of life remains the same: I still have no idea what I'm doing. I suspect this is true of many others as well. This mug is for them. Keep exploring.
