Bereavement Memorial for Father I called him Dad Plaque

Bereavement Memorial for Father I called him Dad Plaque

Once upon a time there was a great man. So begins this memorial tribute to a father. This prose was originally written for my own father, and has been tweaked to make it more of a universal tribute to father's everywhere. The main body of the text (after the first line) is fully editable, allowing you to change keywords or phrases to suit your own needs. Feel free to leave it as is if you prefer. Did you call him something other than Dad? That's O.K because that line is also editable so you can change it if needed. The bottom of the plaque has room for your father's full name and the dates. The full text reads as follows: Once upon a time there was a great man. He was a simple man with tremendous integrity. His work ethic was unparalleled--he put forth his best effort at work or at play. He was the kindest and most generous of men. Everyone knew he could always be depended upon to lend a helping hand. With his children he was stern, but always fair-minded, and more often than not his bark was worse than his bite. He taught me about life's most important concepts-- honesty, integrity, kindness, and the importance of family and friendship, to name a few. He didn't tell me how to live; he lived and let me watch him do it. He is the key to my being. I called him Dad. copyright Diana Burton 2022
