Leninists always stated that "finance capitalism" was the last phase of the capitalist system, whereby the processes of production were subordinated to money profits in a financial system. On the surface, one could argue that this looks to be happening. Of course, you would have to ignore the fact that most powerful financial force that centrally commands monetary and interest rate policy is the quasi-governmental, anti-free market Federal reserve Central Banking system. That's sort of a hard thing to miss. This one is sure to offend the dozen or so people that actually understand what the Fed does and still support it.
