Birthday card inspired by a lovely madonna painting by German painter Eduard Steinbrück (Madonna and child / Madonna in the workshop door, 1833). Steinbrück's artistic work was rooted in the concepts of the Nazarene movement. The Nazarenes hoped to return to art which embodied spiritual values, and sought inspiration in artists of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance, rejecting what they saw as the superficial virtuosity of later art. Steinbrück's madonna glows with a warmth that is both spiritual and pictorial. The realism of the figures enhances its pathos. Its high degree of finish gives the painting a porcelain-like appearance that augments its timeless, reverent quality. Birthday card for anyone with a spiritual outlook.

It’s ok. I looks like a card I could have printed at home. The website said there should be an envelope include but no envelope was given which is very disappointing. It’s ok. Nothing better than I could have printed at home and had I have know this I would have printed at home.
