Black Cat Attitude Throw Pillow

Black Cat Attitude is based on my buddy, Neko---a feisty little black cat with a big attitude. This design was created directly from a very simple oil painting showing a leggy black cat in silhouette against brilliant sunlight yellows with a complementary lavender shadow. But when the painting was scanned and then tiled as a mirror repeat, all kinds of amazing patterns or imagery showed up between mirrored pairs and between each row of pairs. To my eyes, some of those unplanned patterns take on cat-like forms. Others may see something more, something different and that makes this a truly unique design.
