Blacksmith / Farrier graphic T-shirt, Heavy Metal T-Shirt

There has been renewed interest in Folk Art in recent years, as general interest, a hobby, or pride in family heritage. Blacksmithing is a good example, and while few blacksmiths earn their living solely from the art, farriers can be considered to practice modern versions of the art, and are more likely to be employed full time in such a trade. Be it a coal, gas or electric forge, if you heat ferrous metals and use some variation of a hammer and anvil to form a product, for utility or decoration, I consider you a blacksmith. I discovered, after I developed an interest in blacksmithing, that my grandfather had been a blacksmith during World War II. I wish he had still been living when I became involved, as I'm sure he would have shared his experiences with me. I no longer have a forge, but can never rule out returning; the aroma of burning coal and the sound of a ringing anvil are addicting to me.
