I draw all of my mandalas free-hand. I simply start in the middle and let the mandala grow itself. The background is added digitally, allowing me to offer the same design with different backgrounds. People seem to be universally drawn to mandalas. They help us find out centre, our place of peace. They speak to us of interconnectedness: the ways our past, present and future are entwined, the relationships between our mind, body and spirit, and the interdependence of all living things on this one, beautiful, spinning planet.
