Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse Family Mouse Mat

The next Super Blood Moon event will occur on January 20-21 of 2019. A very rare Super Blue Blood Moon on January 31, 2018 was the second full Moon in January, hence also a Blue Moon. The Moon also approaches closest to the Earth in its orbit causing it to appear noticeably larger, which is a Super Moon. At the same time, a total lunar eclipse takes place, turning the full moon from a brilliant white spotlight in the sky to a deep rich red colour with a blood-like appearance while the eclipse in in progress. This combination is known as a Blood Moon. The three simultaneous events create what astronomers call a Super Blue Blood Moon.
