    "Bondi," originally "Boondi" is an Aboriginal word which has the same meaning as the word "surf" in English. The first record of "bondi" by European ancestry Australians was made between 1899 and 1903. It describes the meaning as "noise made by sea waves breaking on the beach," which is essentially the definition of "surf" in contemporary American English. The Australian Museum records that Bondi means place where a fight using boondi sticks (nullas nullas or fighting sticks) took place. BONDI BEACH shows the bonding of mother and child early morning at BONDI BEACH.
