Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi called Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) Madonna and Child Enthroned. c, 1470. Florence, Italy. Recently (12-5-2024) this stunningly beautiful Botticelli auctioned for 8.6 million pounds (about 11 million dollars US) plus auction fees making the total about 10 million pounds which is about 12.75 million dollars US, triple the estimate. There were 9 bidders. The size of the painting was about 32 3/4 inches by 17 7/8 inches. The colours are somewhat digitally enhanced (a bit more colour). A damaged lower right corner of the frame has been digitally restored. I made Mary's robe a bit bluer which was nearly black in the some 554 year old painting. I like this result. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
