About This Design

brandenburg gate travel mug

brandenburg gate travel mug

The Brandenburg Gate at night, Berlin, Germany. Fully customisable. The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany. It is located west of the city centre at the junction of Unter den Linden and Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. It is the only remaining gate of a series through which Berlin was once entered. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building. The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees which formerly led directly to the city palace of the Prussian monarchs. It was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia as a sign of peace and built by Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791. Having suffered considerable damage in World War II, the Brandenburg Gate was fully restored from 2000 to 2002 by the Stiftung Denkmalschutz Berlin (Berlin Monument Conservation Foundation). Today, it is regarded as one of Europe's most famous landmarks.

The final product far exceeded my expectations when it arrived. It feels solid, looks impressive, and I love the style. It has a very solid lid which is still easy to remove and re fit. Looks great in the Stainless Steel and it was delivered on time and very well packaged. I have only one little niggle, and that is the logo background colour of black doesn't quite match the black that they company uses so you can see the slight difference is tones. It would have been great if these matched and to be honest, I am not sure if that is something I would have to do my end before uploading or if this could be sorted at the printing stage.

It's the perfect size for a travel mug. A very good item and I know my son will love it. I'm delighted with how the photos and lettering came out on this item. I managed to get x4 photos on it rather than the usual one. I'm very pleased with this item.
