Briare aqueduct postcard

The ornate Pont Canal de Briare on the canal Latéral à la Loire, in Loiret, Centre, France, was built in 1896, over the river Loire to join two canals. This historical monument was the longest aqueduct in Europe for a while at nearly half a mile long, and has ornamental columns at each end to resemble the Pont Alexandre III in Paris.
