Carlsbad Caverns National Park, located in southeastern New Mexico, was established in 1930 and is renowned for its extensive underground limestone caves, featuring dramatic formations and vast chambers. Key sights include the Big Room, one of the largest underground chambers in North America, and the breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites of the King's Palace. Visitors can also witness the evening bat flight, a mesmerising natural spectacle as thousands of bats emerge from the cave at dusk.
