The CH-47 Chinook is an American twin-engined, tandem rotor helicopter developed to be one of the heaviest lifting helicopters. First introduced in 1962, the CH-47 Chinook is still one of the fastest helicopters in US military service. Capable of transporting troops and vehicles internally it also can handle underslung loads such as a Humvee.
