Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room Stencil Playing Cards

Cool representation of a piece of Chicago's Architectural history deck of playing cards. The Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room stencil features fifty-two hues in muted tones of rust, gold, green and yellow and represents stylised organic patterns of roots, branches and leaves. ❀❀❀ The trading room was the centerpiece of Chicago Architects Adler & Sullivan's 1893-94 Chicago Stock Exchange building. The 13-story building was a Chicago treasure that was, unfortunately, torn down in the 1970s. However, preservationists were able to save many noteable parts of the structure and artefacts. The trading room was re-created and is viewable in the Chicago Art Institute along with the monumental arched building entry facade and several smaller fragments and artefacts. The stencil is part of the Art Institute of Chicago's collection.
