The Japanese writing in the background is the word "chouchin-obake," which means "paper lantern ghost." The English text reads "Chouchin-obake: The Lantern Ghost," but you can change it to say whatever you wish it to! The Chouchin-obake, or Chōchin-obake (提灯お化け, "paper lantern ghost"), is a type of tsukumo-gami (付喪神, "artefact spirit") in Japanese folklore.
