Church of Our Lady Dome, Dresden, Germany Poster

"Church of Our Lady and the Procession of Princes Mural, Dresden, Germany" by Catherine Sherman AugustusStrasse, a cobblestone street in the old town area of Dresden, Germany, is flanked by historic European buildings, with the prominent ornate tile mural of the Procession of Princes (Fürstenzug) on the right wall. In the distance, the baroque dome of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) rises against a partly cloudy sky. The Frauenkirche was built between 1726 and 1743, destroyed during World War II, and then rebuilt fifty years later. The Fürstenzug survived the heavy air raids in 1945 largely unscathed. Only a few hundred of the over 20,000 tiles had to be replaced. Ninety-three people are portrayed on the mural. The procession starts with Konrad the Great, who ruled from 1127 to 1156 and ends with Friedrich August III, who ruled between 1904 and 1918 as Saxony’s last king. Also shown are 59 scientists, artisans, craftsmen, children and farmers. All but one of the figures are male. It is 102 metres long (335 feet) and is known as the largest porcelain painting in the world. The Fürstenzug is located on the outer wall of the Stallhof (Stables Courtyard) of Dresden Castle.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
