A pine crest that symbolizes an old pine tree. The branches are formed in a tiered structure, typically with three tiers, hence the name 'three-tiered pine' or 'three-branched pine'. The crest is associated with the Saigusa family, who used it as their emblem. There are variations of this crest with branches leaning to the right or left.
