"Star Shadow Abstract #2" is obviously taken from a larger composition titled "Star Shadow". I took a photo of Cassie's marks on the storm door at Christmas - the slanting sun cast the shadow of our Moravian star on the door, so I had a star shadow in the photo as well. It went through several revisions - I like this latest version with its wild colours and strange shapes best! Hard to believe it all started as Cassie the Airedale's "nose art" - but it did.
