While Reading the "Sermon on the Mount" found in St Matthew ch. 5-7 (6:28-29) I came across a passage that struck profoundly. "And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. At this point I had already decided to use my oil pastel flower drawings as postcard prints. I have always been amazed at the glory and beauty of flowers in the fields, and I knew "Consider the lilies" was often quoted. Simply reading the verses again was enough to draw the connection in my mind. I later thought it would be nice and helpful to have some faith promoting, comforting, and hope filled scriptures on the back, similar to faith based stationary or journals. Thats how the "Consider the lilies Scripture Art" series was conceived. Romans 8:38-39 14 0f 100
