I painted the little rural snow scene on this christmas door mat as a Christmas card for my mum, the festive image reminds me of winter walks to my grandmothers, as a child we’d walk to grannies house every weekend, but walking through the thick winter snow in the festive season was extra special, very cold though! I’ve always liked walking in the snow. The row of rustic country cottages are set on a bit of a slope in the landscape and have snow covered roofs, you can imagine a roaring fire glowing inside these cosy homes.
