Cotton A Way of Life Ceramic Tree Decoration

As I drive by the rows and rows of cotton, my mind always fantasizes that the cotton is already refined, fluffy balls as soft as cotton candy. I know that isn't how it is in reality. There are seeds to be combed out and processing of the fibres. But it's fun to let my mind run wild. The white balls of fluff float gently overhead, vying for my attention. Impasto technique is a style where the colours are laid on with a knife in layers. As each layer dries and another is laid on top, the painting begins to "build out," creating depth and texture. The result is cotton balls that appear to stand out from the canvas - balls of - you guess it: fluff.
